The construction of three major projects have taken place over the last year impacting parking on the UNLV campus.
These projects — which are part of the university's master plan — are the Greenspun Building; the Science, Engineering and Technology Building; and the new Student Services Complex. All three of these projects will be opening before or close to the opening for the fall semester and should have little impact on the first week of classes.
To accommodate the needs of the university, it is sometimes necessary for Parking & Transportation Services to temporarily close individual parking lots, driveways, or other parking facilities. Some examples of these special needs are the projects stated above, street and/or lot cleaning, maintenance, and parking for university-sponsored events held on campus.
Most events are usually of short duration. Parking & Transportation Services works diligently to provide helpful information in a timely manner to assist you in making accommodations for alternate parking. Notices detailing the restrictions, date(s), and time will be posted as far in advance as possible.
Any changes that affect parking on the UNLV or Shadow Lane campuses will be announced on the Parking & Transportation Services website. Patrons are advised to identify alternate parking options as new construction impacts additional parking spaces.
